Leyster

Judith Leyster (1609-1660) was a pioneer in an artistic world dominated by men. The first woman to achieve master painter status in the Netherlands in the 17th century, she broke the conventions of her time by joining the prestigious Guild of Saint Luke in Haarlem in 1633.
